Dr. Kerry Leahan PhD, is a seasoned clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience, complemented by a background as a registered nurse in the hospital setting. Her extensive expertise spans clinical psychology and nursing, with a focus on supporting clients in managing chronic illness and chronic pain.

Kerry earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Australian National University in 2004. She offers a comprehensive range of evidence-based psychological services for adults, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Relaxation Therapy, Schema Therapy, and trauma-focused treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Radical Exposure Tapping (RET).

As a certified Imago Therapist and member of the Association of Imago Therapists Australia (AIRTA) , Dr. Leahan provides specialised couples counselling, fostering connection and communication through the Imago approach. She is also trained in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP Level II) and has completed a three-year program in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy, enhancing her ability to address complex emotional challenges.

Kerry is particularly skilled in using biofeedback techniques for relaxation and breathing training, effectively helping clients manage depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, and sleep difficulties. Her integrative, client-centred approach combines her deep clinical expertise with a compassionate understanding of her clients’ needs, making her a trusted practitioner in both individual and couple’s therapy.
