Kerry Leahan

Kerry is a clinical psychologist with the ability to provide a broad range of psychological services, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, relaxation therapy, Schema Therapy, and trauma focussed therapies such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprogramming) and RET Level 2 (Radical Exposure Tapping - www.radicalexposure.com).

Kerry provides counselling for couples and is a certified Imago Therapist and a member of AIRTA (Association of Imago Therapists Australia www.imagocounselling.org.au).

She is trained in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP Level I), and a graduate of Conversation Model of Psychotherapy by Dr Russell Meares (ANZAP) which is a three year Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy training.

Kerry specialises in the use of biofeedback and neurofeedback for relaxation and breathing training to assist with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and sleep problems and is a member of the Applied Neuroscience Society of Australasia (ANSA).

She has 20 years experience working in the hospital setting, firstly as a registered nurse, then as a psychologist, and has extensive experience in assisting clients to manage chronic illness and chronic pain.

Kerry’s Clinical Psychology Ph.D. was in the area of stress and investigated the impact of light entrainment on the human EEG in the treatment of depression and sleep disorder.
